Meet Dr. Scott Oden
Hello, my name is Dr. Scott. I recently graduated from Life University College of Chiropractic Georgia, in March of 2025. I graduated with a Bachelor of science degree in Criminal Justice from Faulkner University Alabama.
I grew up in a small town called Locust Fork in Alabama. It was the kind of town where everyone knew each other and people helped each other. When I graduated high school, I wanted to be a police officer with an emphasis on being a crime scene technician. I obtained an associate’s degree in Crime scene investigation then my bachelor’s degree. Once I graduated from the Birmingham Police academy I worked for the patrol unit of the department. I, like many others I worked with, suffered from back pain and was introduced to Chiropractic. I learned that chiropractic was more than neck pain and back pain. Chiropractic was about nervous system health!
Personal Interests and Introduction to Pediatric Care
My love for music stems from my days in high school marching band. It opened the opportunity to be the music minister in the church I was a part of before I moved to Georgia for school. While seeing my chiropractor, he encouraged me to go to chiropractic school. He also told me I should look at some of the pediatric clubs on campus. While on campus I was immersed in the pediatric clubs and the sports chiropractic club where we trained regularly. Pediatrics and neurologically focused chiropractic is close to my heart because of my own story of being in the medical system with a “diagnosis” of ADHD. I was put on medication because the doctors said we had too. Knowing now that chiropractic could have helped prevent me from “having” to be on medication, fuels my fire to help all kids and families alike.
